These organizations play a significant role in RiverXchange by providing classroom guest speakers. Presenters bring important technical information into the classroom and teachers learn about the organization and their outreach program(s). These classroom guest speakers make a critical in-kind contribution that helps us keep coordination costs down and maximize the number of participating classes.
Field Trips
In partnership with City of Albuquerque Open Space, RiverXchange students plant trees and shrubs to restore habitat for endangered species such as the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and Rio Grande Silvery Minnow!
This mutually beneficial relationship allows RiverXchange participants to learn first hand about the living natural resource they have been studying while also helping Open Space Division to achieve their riparian management goals.
